User Photos

Introduction

The User Photos component of SPMM allow users to upload photo albums to their user profiles.  Photos are a big part of users lives and they love sharing them.  This feature keeps them engaged on your site!

Features

  • Users can create, edit and delete photo albums
  • Albums and photos appear in their user profile
  • It integrates with the Social Activity component and will show in the social activity feed when the user creates a new photo album.

Activating The Component

To activate the USER PHOTOS component:

  • Navigate to MEMBER MANAGER->SETTINGS->COMPONENTS
  • Click the checkbox next to Simple:Press Member Manager – USER PHOTOS
  • Click the Save Changes button

The component should now be enabled.

Global Settings

The component has some global settings:

  • Navigate to MEMBER MANAGER->SETTINGS->COMPONENT SETTINGS->USER PHOTOS
  • There you will see a screen with the following options:

  • Update as you see fit and the click the Save Changes button

The End User Experience

When this component is enabled, users will see a new Photos tab on their user profile.  Clicking it will allow them to create a new album and upload pictures to it.

 

When one user accesses another user’s profile, they will see two additional links under a Photos tab – Albums and Photos.
